Original Spitfire pencil drawing signed by 4 Battle of Britain pilots
Original Pencil Drawing signed by 4 Battle of Britain veterans
Here we have an original pencil drawing of a World War 2 Spitfire as used by the RAF during the Battle of Britain
What makes this very special is that I got it signed by no less than 4 RAF veterans of the Battle of Britain of 1940.
The veterans that signed it are:
Group Captain Billy Drake – One of the RAF’s top aces with 20+ victories
Flying Officer Ken Wilkinson – Flew Spitfires and Hurricanes during the Battle of Britain
Wing Commander Tom Neil – One of the highest scoring pilots of the Battle of Britain
Wing Commander Ayerst – Flew not only throughout the Battle of Britain, but was also one of the few that flew operationally throughout the entire war.
There is lots about all of these men on the Internet.
I took photos of all of them signing the picture and I will let you have copies of these to go with the picture when you buy it to guarantee its ‘provenance’ and also just out of interest for you. I’ve included some links below to a selection of some of these plus some close ups but the quality has been lowered for speed of loading over the Internet. I can email higher quality images to you if you are interested and give a FULL MONEY BACK GUARANTEE if you are not satisfied.
The drawing itself measures approx. 16.5 x 11.5 inches and will be sent flat in a 20 x 16 inches mount.
