Tuskegee Red Tails
A stretched canvas Giclee print.
Here we have a cloudscape image of the iconic World War II fighter aircraft, the P 51 mustang, flown by the Tuskegee airmen. Affectionately known as the Red Tails due to the markings on their aircraft, they were the first black American airmen into combat during World War II. They had already had a tremendous struggle against the establishment just to be allowed to fly for their country, and then proved to be one of the most successful units of World War II. True heroes in every sense, they are soon to be the subject of a new George Lucas blockbuster film.
